Terms of Use
The rules for using All About Bible, what you pay for, and what happens when you stop.
Overview
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS IS. All About Bible is an app for reading and studying the Bible, operated as a business and not as a registered charity or non-profit. These terms are between you and All About Bible. Using the app means accepting them.
Your choices
WHAT IS FREE, PERMANENTLY. Reading the Bible in every translation we hold, audio, reading plans, daily devotions, prayer, the library, commentary at its standard depth, and Ask Adam up to 5 questions a day are free and are not a trial. We do not intend to move these behind payment. If that ever changed we would say so clearly and in advance, and it would not apply to anything you have already saved.
Our commitments
PREMIUM AND PREMIUM+. Premium removes the daily limit on Ask Adam, unlocks every commentary layer, and allows offline downloads. Premium+ costs more and gives exactly the same features; it exists only for people who would rather pay more, and buys nothing additional. Prices are shown in your own currency by the App Store or Google Play at the moment you subscribe, and those prices are the ones that apply.
Your First 30 Days
Every new reader gets Premium free for 30 days, beginning when the app first contacts our servers after you install it. We give this, not the App Store or Google Play. It needs no card, no account and no subscription, and there is nothing to cancel: when the 30 days end, the app returns to the Free tier on its own and you are never charged. It is given once per device and cannot be renewed by deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing you have saved is removed when it ends, and anything you downloaded for offline use keeps working. If you choose to subscribe while the 30 days are still running, billing begins immediately and the rest of the free period is not carried over — so there is no reason to subscribe before you need to.
Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, the store charges you for the next month and continues to do so each month. This is the store's standard behaviour for auto-renewable subscriptions and we cannot switch it off on your behalf. The renewal date is shown in the app under Me → Account, and in your store account.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, from Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android. The app links you there; it cannot cancel for you, because only the store can. When you cancel, Premium continues until the end of the period you have already paid for and then stops, and your account returns to the Free tier. Nothing you have saved — highlights, notes, journal entries, prayers — is deleted when Premium ends. Files already downloaded for offline use stay on your device; new downloads require Premium.
Payment, Refunds And Price Changes
All subscription payments are taken by Apple or Google, never by us. We never see or store your card details. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, and we cannot issue, approve or refuse one — request it from Apple or Google directly. If we change the price, the store will notify you and ask you to agree before the new price is charged; if you do not agree, the subscription ends at the next renewal.
Ai, And What It Is Not
Ask Adam and the AAB commentary are generated by software. They are study aids. They are not pastoral care, and not legal, medical, financial or immigration advice. They can be wrong. Answers show the passages they are drawn from so you can check them, and we would rather you did. If you are in crisis, please contact a local crisis line or someone you trust today — the app is not an emergency service and cannot summon help.
Scripture
Scripture text is never generated, paraphrased or rewritten by the AI. It is served from licensed and public-domain translation stores and is always attributed. Commercially licensed translations appear only where we hold a licence, and are never reproduced under their names without one. If you believe we are displaying text we have no right to, write to us and we will investigate and remove it while we do.
Accounts
An account is optional and nothing in the app is behind one. It exists so your own material follows you to another device, and so a subscription belongs to you rather than to one handset. You are responsible for the Apple or Google account you sign in with. You can delete your account at any time from Me → Account; doing so deletes everything synced to it, and cannot be undone.
Your Content
Your highlights, notes, journal entries and prayers are yours. We store them to provide sync and for no other purpose. We do not read them, publish them, sell them, or use them to train any model. Usage measurement never records anything you have typed. See the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
Use the app lawfully and treat other people decently. Do not attempt to extract the translation texts or commentary in bulk, resell access, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend access that damages the service or other people, and we will explain why when we do.
Children
A parent or guardian must set up and manage a child profile. Children's activity is not used to improve AI, is not profiled, and is not used for advertising. See the Children's Privacy policy.
Giving
Giving and outreach projects are currently switched off in the app while their legal, tax and cross-border position is settled. When they return, gifts will be ordinary payments and not tax-deductible donations, and we will say plainly what each payment funds before you make it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it is uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and content may be added, corrected or withdrawn — particularly where a licence changes. Offline downloads are provided so the app keeps working without a connection; they are a convenience, not a guarantee of permanent access.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken in reliance on AI-generated study material. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes And Ending
We may change these terms. Material changes will be versioned and shown in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app after that means accepting them. You may stop using the app at any time; cancelling a subscription is separate and is done through the store as described above.
Law And Contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally. Questions about these terms: legal@allaboutbible.app
